Safe2Grow runs safety training courses in Cape Town, specifically CPR and First aid courses.
The Safe2Grow courses are aimed at equipping parents and child minders with basic CPR and First aid knowledge and skills so that they are able to react appropriately in a crisis requiring immediate medical intervention. This training therefore aids to reduce the extent of injury or save the life of a child. In a single two and a half hour session, Safe2Grow teaches one how to recognise the need for CPR, ensure scene safety, call for help, and actually perform CPR on adults, children and infants. It also covers the same basic steps for choking and drowning.
The CPR and First aid courses I offer are designed by the American Heart Association, through whom I have my instructors’ qualification. I am also registered with the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa as a certified instructor.
Despite the serious nature of the course content, the course itself is enjoyable and interactive and you are guaranteed to leave feeling far more capable about what to do in the case of a medical emergency involving any member of your family.
The cost of the course is R250+R30 for materials, payable on the day.
